There are many uses for 3D programs in companies. Mainly seen in movies and games, but are also used in other industries such as automotive design, and CAD/CAM (Computer aided design/ Computer aided manufacturing). CAD/CAM is used to design 3D products on a computer screen and manufacture the product using machines. This is mainly used in bigger projects such as cars, and mass production of many smaller products.

3D programs are especially useful for interior design to see how a particular style would work in a room, which can save a lot of money if a mistake is made in real life.
